Couchkartell: one brand, web and apps.
A film library becomes a recognisable world. Couchkartell brings an expressive website, a Windows application and an Android app together around one idea: your own collection, made enjoyable to explore.

A shared idea for different screens
Couchkartell organises a household’s own films and series. The design connects the pleasure of choosing a film with practical tasks: finding a title, continuing an episode, selecting a profile and keeping a watchlist.
Our work brings brand development, website design, interfaces and application development together. The red couch, cinematic imagery and direct language give the product a recognisable character. Desktop and mobile follow that character while adapting the controls to their respective screens.
A website that invites visitors to try it
The homepage introduces the product with a red couch, a view of the library and the line “Dein Kino. Dein Kartell.” The next section turns the promise into something visitors can explore: choose a profile, browse example films and series, search for a title or build a watchlist.
This is a deliberately fictional example library. It makes the product’s behaviour understandable without changing a real household. The website then presents original application views and clear routes to the Windows and Android downloads.

Windows: space for the whole collection
The desktop application uses the larger screen for covers, filters and detailed views. Films, series, collections and viewing progress belong to one familiar navigation. The player is part of the application, so a separate player installation is not required.
Users connect their household with an activation code and add their own media folders. The PC must be able to access the associated files. The presentation makes these requirements clear alongside the visual experience.

Android: a personal library in your hand
On phones and tablets, the same library needs a different arrangement. Touch controls, a focused navigation and clear profile selection make the interface usable on a narrower screen. Series open into seasons and episodes, while the watchlist keeps the next choice within reach.
The official website provides the signed Android APK. Mobile devices also need access to the connected media folders. Couchkartell supplies the application, not films or series.

What holds the project together
The website introduces the experience, the interactive example explains it and the applications deliver it in everyday use. Colours, imagery and navigation remain recognisable, while each platform gets the space and controls it needs.
- Brand: identity, visual language and product communication.
- Web: an expressive product website, an interactive example library and a tour of real application screens.
- Desktop: the Windows interface, library views and integrated playback.
- Mobile: Android interfaces for profiles, films, series and watchlists.
